Wetu Trust has continued to strengthen its partnership with Bethel Kibera School by supporting ongoing efforts to create a cleaner and healthier learning environment. The school, which recently sought assistance in accessing essential sanitation materials, has been working hand in hand with the Trust to secure items such as water tanks, dustbins, and handwashing points. These resources are vital in promoting hygiene, reducing health risks, and ensuring that children can learn in a safe and supportive environment.
This initiative has been embraced as an ongoing project, reflecting Wetu Trust’s broader commitment to empowering schools and communities through practical, sustainable support. By addressing sanitation needs, the project not only uplifts the well-being of learners but also extends its benefits to the surrounding community. Such interventions foster dignity and inclusivity, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive in a space that prioritizes both education and health.
Looking ahead, Wetu Trust further plans to provide ornamental trees to the school, creating greener and more welcoming surroundings. Beyond their beauty, these trees will be manageable for the school community, offering shade, enhancing the landscape, and fostering a culture of environmental care among students. This next phase is envisioned to complement the sanitation project, blending health, education, and environmental stewardship into a holistic approach to community development.
